Little Nightmares III preserves the series’ oppressive atmosphere, grotesque art direction, environmental puzzles, and dreamlike storytelling while introducing online two-player co-op through the complementary abilities of Low and Alone. Critics generally found the co-op concept effective and the solo AI surprisingly capable, but the sequel rarely feels as inventive or memorable as its predecessors. Recycled puzzle structures, familiar-feeling encounters, a short four-to-six-hour campaign, and the lack of local co-op limit its ambition.
