Review consensus
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD remains a charming, visually polished ghost-hunting adventure with excellent animation, playful environmental puzzles, satisfying vacuum-based combat, and a strong variety of haunted locations. The Switch version improves the original 3DS release with sharper visuals, smoother aiming, HD rumble, and more comfortable controls. However, its mission-based structure creates frequent interruptions, backtracking, and repetition, while the lack of meaningful new content makes the premium price harder to justify. Critics generally regard it as the best way to play Dark Moon, but not an essential remaster, especially compared with the more expansive and fluid Luigi's Mansion 3.
