Review consensus
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a stylish and unusually approachable 4v4 tag fighter that successfully establishes its own identity beyond Marvel vs. Capcom comparisons. Its shared-health teams, gradually unlocked assists, simple inputs, and deep combo systems welcome newcomers while giving experienced players plenty of room for mastery. Critics consistently praise the gorgeous anime-inspired presentation, strong Marvel roster, responsive combat, and entertaining comic-book story episodes. The main weaknesses are a relatively modest offline offering, some uneven balance, and significant PC performance, connection, and crossplay problems at launch. On PS5, however, it is widely regarded as an excellent competitive fighter.
