Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is a lavish and thoughtful revival of Monolith Soft’s ambitious sci-fi RPG. Its enormous planet Mira remains the star, offering remarkable exploration, varied biomes, dangerous wildlife, and a rewarding progression from foot travel to Skell mechs and eventually flight. Combat is deep, flexible, and enhanced by the new quick-recharge system, while substantial quality-of-life improvements make missions, party management, navigation, and equipment less cumbersome. The story and supporting cast remain uneven, inventory management is still tedious, and the long wait for Skells can frustrate newcomers, but the expanded content, visual upgrade, and improved pacing make this the definitive way to experience X.
