Review consensus
Astro Bot is a polished, joyful 3D platformer built around exceptional level variety, responsive movement, and a steady stream of inventive abilities. Team Asobi’s stages constantly introduce fresh visual themes and mechanics, while hidden bots, puzzle pieces, challenge levels, and PlayStation character cameos make exploration and completion rewarding. The DualSense is used especially well, complementing the tactile platforming without overwhelming it. Reviewers noted occasional camera frustrations, some uneven challenge spikes, and a few less intuitive abilities, but these are minor blemishes on an otherwise charming, generous, and expertly designed PS5 exclusive.
