Review consensus
EA Sports FC 24 successfully establishes EA’s post-FIFA identity without radically reinventing the series. Critics consistently praised the improved on-pitch feel, smoother animations, more deliberate passing, and PlayStyles system, while Ultimate Team gained meaningful flexibility through Evolutions and the addition of women’s players. The presentation is polished and the licensed content remains extensive. However, Career Mode changes are comparatively shallow, defending and goalkeeping can be erratic, PC performance has technical issues, and Ultimate Team’s pack-based monetization remains controversial. Overall, FC 24 is a stronger football simulation than FIFA 23, but its yearly-update structure limits how transformative it feels.
