iRacing is an exceptionally serious online motorsport simulation built around precise driving, structured competition, and long-term skill development. Its laser-scanned circuits, demanding physics, safety-rating system, and disciplined multiplayer environment offer an unusually authentic racing experience, rewarding patience and consistency more than arcade-style aggression. However, the simulation is difficult, requires a racing wheel, lacks a meaningful AI-driven single-player mode, and historically combines subscription fees with separately priced cars and tracks. The absence of weather and dynamic track conditions also limits its feature set. It is best suited to dedicated sim racers willing to invest substantial time and money.
