Review consensus
NBA 2K24 remains one of the most authentic and content-rich basketball simulations available, with excellent on-court movement, outstanding broadcast presentation, extensive franchise options, and a worthwhile Kobe Bryant-focused Mamba Moments mode. ProPLAY adds some welcome animation improvements, but the overall package feels more iterative than transformative. Across platforms, reviewers consistently criticized the aggressive VC economy, pay-to-win progression, paid battle pass, and badge regression. MyCAREER is more focused on current-generation systems but remains heavily monetized, while the Switch and PC versions suffer from substantial feature omissions. It is polished and enjoyable, but difficult to recommend as a full-price annual upgrade.
