Review consensus
NBA 2K25 remains one of the most complete and technically impressive basketball simulations available. Its revamped dribbling, improved ProPLAY animations, strong presentation, broad mode selection, expanded MyNBA Eras content, and better-focused City make the on-court experience feel more purposeful than in recent entries. However, the game is still heavily compromised by aggressive microtransactions, especially in MyCareer and online progression, while the live-service grind and occasional slow pacing undermine the otherwise excellent package. NBA 2K25 is an outstanding basketball game at its core, but its monetization prevents it from being an easy recommendation at full price.
