Its branching Episode Battles, tournaments, online modes, and Custom Battle creator provide substantial variety, while mastering counters, movement, ki management, and transformations gives the fighting more depth than its button-mashing presentation suggests. However, the learning curve is poorly explained, the story mode is inconsistently presented, and the unbalanced combat and uneven AI can encourage repetitive tactics.
