MLB The Show 23 remains one of the deepest and most authentic baseball simulations available, with excellent on-field play, broad customization, and a generous Diamond Dynasty progression model. Its standout addition is Storylines: The Negro Leagues, an educational and emotionally resonant documentary-style mode that meaningfully connects baseball history with interactive play. Fielding and Franchise receive worthwhile refinements, while March to October and Diamond Dynasty offer substantial replay value. However, Road to the Show and several presentation elements feel neglected, and the game remains visually dated in places. The Switch version is impressively complete but suffers from frame-rate and control issues.
